Max Griffin Wins Am. MMA Debut

April 7th, 2009 · No Comments

Max Griffin was victorious in his amateur MMA debut this past Saturday, April 4 as he defeated Jeremy Hunter by KO in 30 seconds of the very first round at the BrassNux fights in Springfield, OR.  Hunter came into the fight with a 1-0 record with his first fight lasting only 6 seconds.  Griffin and Hunter came out swinging leather with both landing good shots.  The tide turned when Griffin landed a solid right hand followed by a left knee to the body.  Griffin was able to pressure hunter to the cage following up with a left round kick to the head and 4 crisp straight punches to he head before Hunter slumped against the cage, but not before Max was able to catch him with a left knee to the face before the Ref stepped in to save a fighter not defending himself.  It was a great showing for Max and the Marinoble Fight Team.  Congrats, MAX!
